Taking the LEAP: Leadership, Equity, Accountability, and Partnerships in a World Living with AIDS
AIDS Vol. 22, Supp. 2, August 2008; Sofia Gruskin, Daniel Tarantola, and Steffanie Strathdee, eds.

The UCLA Program in Global Health convened a think tank meeting, Social Justice, Human Rights, and HIV Prevention, focused on broadening the HIV prevention agenda. The meeting, held July 20-21, 2007 in Sydney, included 45 HIV researchers, UN agency representatives, prevention advocates, clinicians, and funders, who addressed topics related to HIV/AIDS leadership development, equity (including gender, sexual diversity, stigma, integrating prevention and care, conflict and post-conflict settings), accountability, and developing useful partnerships.

The papers in this special issue of the journal AIDS are the result of this think tank meeting.
